One of the hardest parts of wedding planning can be deciding who will and will not be invited to your wedding. If money was not a factor, and you didn’t care how much it cost to feed your guests, and there is no expense that will stop you from getting the décor details you want, then you don’t really need this post. However, because we know you have probably figured out by now that each of guest are adding up to be close if not already at a triple digit dollar sign for your wedding, we will keep this conversation going.

Make a list
When we give this tip to our couples, we advise them to think deeply about each person they plan to list. We ask them to consider whether or not they want to pay the amount of money, if for nothing else, that it would cost for that guest to eat. If the answer is yes, we then suggest they add the cost of the venue this person is worth the amount of money they are about to pay is worth.
Create a Budget
If you have done any type of wedding planning at this point, then you know a little about how much things costs as it relates to what things will cost, but you do know how much of your money you are willing to comfortably part with. Your wedding budget gives you the answer to what you can and cannot do for your wedding, as well as when you can do it. Determining what your overall cost will not exceed and looking at how long it will take you to hit that number, gives you a timeframe for your wedding date.

Re-evaluate your List
Once you have determined what your money can do for your wedding day, take another look at your wedding guest list. The names on the list will hold a little more weight than prior to you creating your budget. Having an idea of how much you can spend per person gives great perspective.
We hope we have shared some details with you that are more helpful as you continue to plan the best day of your life.
Until next time…
be sweet & happy planning!
