Seasons matter most to couples planning their wedding with a specific idea in mind. Regardless of why you have chosen your date and season, your guests’ experience will need to be something you keep top of mind. Seasonal tips on best guests’ experience is always a welcomed conversation in our books. We have suggestions to heighten your guests’ experience with each season in mind.

Winter
Winter weddings are a thing. The beauty in a winter wonderland or jewel toned celebrations deserve the same attention as it’s opposing season. Whatever the dream, we are here for it. Something you want to consider when having a winter wedding is having coat check. Think about the result of not having coat check. Where do you think your guests will put their coats? If they have no other option, they will then place it on the back of their chairs. If you have decorative chairs, they will be covered. If you are okay with that, we are too. (Let’s be real, no we aren’t!)
Spring
Spring weddings are an initial idea for most brides. We believe it is the mix of the weather and the blooming of all of the pretty flowers that get the dream started. With the dreams of a beautiful spring wedding comes the need to have a rain plan. If any part of your wedding takes place outdoors, the need for this conversation is unavoidable. Even if it doesn’t rain during your wedding, if it rains before, you want to be sure care is taken for wherever your guests will have to walk.
Summer
Summer weddings can be super hot. Regardless of whether your wedding is indoors or outdoors, your guests will feel the heat. Indoor weddings are easy to tend to in the summer. Having a conversation with the event manager at your venue would be a great starting point. Understanding the usual temperature during past weddings can help you prepare for the comfort of your guests. Outdoor weddings will take a little more thought. Rentals may play a large part in your wedding with having possible tents or fans. Cooling station and towels, as well as providing cute little ice cold bottle waters would even be a sweet gesture. Keep in mind what the heat does to you and give your guests what you would like to receive.
Fall
Fall is probably the 2nd most sought out season for weddings. It’s the weather, and when it feels great outside that’s where you want to be outside. Fall weddings are rich in color and so warm. But there is rain with fall weddings as well. The same things you want to consider with spring will need to be top of mind for fall. Being sure your venue can provide a secondary location might not be a bad idea either.
Guests’ experiences are important. After all, weddings are in great part thrown for your guests to witness and be a part of your celebration. Taking into account how your guests will experience your wedding day is key.
Until next time…
be sweet & happy planning!
