We often compare the mood and adventures of the morning of the wedding to that of a slumber party of a lifetime. What other vibe can you get from having all of your best girls in one room with you. There is music, laughter, hair, and makeup. The morning of the wedding is also an extension of the pre-wedding photos every wedding photographer loves to capture.

In this post, we want to share with you 10 of our favorite photo opportunities of the bride with her bridesmaids. Take a look at what we have shared and see if you can find your must haves for your wedding day.
In Robes
The cutest and often most heartfelt moments are those captured in the more relaxed and playful of shots.
Dressing
The essence of having your squad with you on your wedding day as the bride is most appreciated when all of them are lending a helping hand to get you into your dress. Now, granted it won’t take 7 people to actually get you dressed, but just capturing the sweetness of everyone playing their part at getting you happily down the aisle is worth the capturing.

Primping
The mantra of a loving maid maid of honor is being sure there isn’t a hair out of place. Everything needing to be perfect just for you is the role. There can sometimes seem to be no end to the job. However, the smile on your face is a reward within itself. Capturing that love and care is something beautiful and will live as a memory to treasure in your heart forever.
First Look
There are brides who chose to hold tight to tradition and do not under any circumstances want their groom to see them before they walk down the aisle. We are hopeless romantics and there is a bit of drama involved with that moment that feeds our hearts. So we get it. But we are still suckers for a first look and we want you to know that it can still take place. You can do it with your bridesmaids. You deserve to hear the excitement of those who care so deeply for you as they see you in your most beautiful of moments. Besides, why can’t it be your bridesmaids. Plus, it helps you get rid of the jitters.
Walking
Okay, so blame TikTok and Saucy Santana for this one. Though this wouldn’t be a video (unless you hired a videographer…which you should absolutely do), your photographer can get some pretty awesome shots of you and your girls stepping on some imaginary necks…runway style.
Shoe Shot
Speaking of stepping, a beautiful stiletto, strappy sandal, or even a dreamy pump deserves to have some camera time. If you are proud of the shoes you genius-ly paired with the dresses everyone will be wearing, you should without a doubt get a shoe shot.
Sitting Pretty
A pretty picture of everyone sitting posed with you at the center is an epic shot. The contrast in texture of your dress with theirs, the togetherness and support in the photo, the bouquets, all of it plays a part.
Behind the Backs
We are suckers for photos of the back of the bridal gowns. Whether everyone’s back is turned and only the bride is facing forward, or everyone is holding the bouquets the same way behind their backs, doesn’t matter. We haven’t seen a photo with this initiative that doesn’t work yet.
Bouquet Shot
A very pretty bouquet shot is a favorite of ours. Of course, we are florists so we are bit partial. But it is still a pretty shot. The flowers are pretty alone, but when you add the beauty of your bridal party and yourself to the mix, you can’t go wrong.

Personality Driven (sassy or silly)
You chose these ladies for a reason. They make you smile, they make you laugh, they get you, and they support you. A photo in your bundle of pictures showcasing the personality of you and your best girls is sure to last a lifetime and would undoubtedly be your favorite capture of that morning.
These are some of the best of what we have seen when it comes to wedding day photo sessions with your girls. We hope you plan to use what we shared. We hope even more that you are excited about the fun you have ahead of you. DM us on Instagram to let us know your favorite of the suggestions shared, and enjoy your wedding planning experience.
Until next time…
be sweet & happy planning!
