It is seriously easy to become deeply engrossed with the planning of your wedding. After all, it is a big deal. But while going through the planning process, it is also easy to lose sight of what is important which happens to be the two of you. At the end of the day, you shouldn’t be at odds about whether or not you use napkin rings on the tables or sparklers as you exit your reception. We would like to share a few things with you to help keep you from being caught up in the minutia of your planning journey.

As you plan the big day with your spouse to be make sure to take frequent breaks from the planning. Taking time to do a quick getaway, a stay cation, or going out on a regular date night can be a definite way to include some important downtime. To be sure you totally unplug, practice not speaking about the wedding during these times. It will be a challenge, but once you get the hang of it, we are positive you will enjoy it.
Another way to keep the main thing the main is to do intentional PDAs. Yes, public displays of affection are still appropriate. Steal a kiss here and there. Hold hands for no reason. Hug often. Nothing communicates love like PDAs. It is important that you keep things spicy while dating. You can’t allow the flame to burn out before you say I do.
The last thing we want to suggest is the buying of “just because” gifts. Purchase your spouse to be’s favorite candy bar, a nice bottle of perfume or cologne, or even that outfit they have been wanting. We’d like to say gifts don’t matter as much, but they definitely have their own space.
As we stated in the beginning, never lose sight of what is important. It should always be top of mind that your spouse to be is the number one reason you are preparing for this day.
Until next time…
be sweet & happy planning!
