Gifts for your bridesmaids and groomsmen are a very common gesture of appreciation. You have asked people you trust to be a part of the day that starts a new chapter in your life. With that comes a certain amount of responsibility and time. Your recognition of this plays a huge part emotionally to each member of your wedding party. Being sure you choose the perfect gifts for your bridesmaids and groomsmen will be a task you want to give special care.

For Him
We have heard that gifts for the guys are generally easier to decide on than those for the ladies. We disagree. When you think of gifts for your groomsmen, you can approach the subject quite a few ways. You can attempt to get something that is used regularly but on a more upscale level. For example, a luxury grooming bag might not be something all of your groomsmen would care to purchase for themselves but would serve as a pretty thoughtful gift from you. Another really awesome gift would be custom cufflinks. Those are a gift that would continuously give, don’t you agree? Another direction to take could be to gift something specific to the wedding or you as a couple. For instance, covering the airfare for an out of town bachelor party would go over really well. You could probably win in the gift department with that one.
For Her
Whether you have heard it or not, the easier gift ideas are most certainly for the ladies. We can agree to disagree here. Most of the time, the best route is to customize something pretty. A woman can have several versions of the same item, and it will still be exciting to receive. Now just because this is often the case does not mean you shouldn’t put time and thought into the gift. The way to make the gift standout is to do all of the frilly stuff in addition to the main gift. The perfect gift can range anywhere from custom jewelry to luxury clutches. There are literally thousands of options. Take one really nice option and combine it with some necessities in the most beautiful way and you’re done. Need an example? If all of the ladies are gifted a Tiffany & Co. bracelet, you can package the gift in a customized keepsake box with all kinds of items she can use for some always welcomed self-care. A cute mug, with a nice candle, and some candies can go a long way if package along side that beautiful bracelet. Just a thought. The thing with the ladies will be all about the delivery, so spoil your girls. They will remember it for years to come.
Why
The why behind our suggesting you really take some time and put forth thought in this area is simple. No one has to do a single thing for you. There is initially an unknown amount of responsibility and time attached to being in someone’s wedding. If you combine that with some of the horror stories that we have all heard about, either experienced by someone we know or what we have seen on TV, it would give anyone pause. Someone saying yes to being a part of your planning process, accompanied by fittings and payments towards clothing items they will absolutely never wear again, and concluding with large amounts of time served leading up to and on a wedding day should be appreciated. Even if they tell you they are happy to do all of those things for you, they are still sacrificing a lot. Show them that you understand and care about their time.
So again we say, the gifts you choose for your bridesmaids and groomsmen will be a task you want to give special care. People can tell when you have put very little thought into what you share with them. Don’t be those people. Let them know you genuinely appreciate them, but also have fun.
Until next time…
be sweet & happy planning!
