It is 7pm and your reception has just started. You are exhausted and you aren’t sure why. We can guess that it is probably because you haven’t eaten all day long. To ensure this does not become your reality on wedding day, we would like to make a few suggestions on how you can be sure you get some grub.

Plan ahead
If you have to think of it as packing a lunch, so be it. On one of the most important days of your life, you do not want to be “hangry.” It will already be an emotional day, so you may not be able to truly enjoy yourself on an empty stomach. Be sure you plan ahead by working what you plan to eat into your wedding morning schedule. You can even ask someone else to be sure to bring you something to eat. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and believe us, you are going to need it on your wedding day.
Choose light options
Even if you feel as though you don’t want to eat as you normally would, you should still eat something. You may not feel like eating, but being sure you have something on your stomach makes a difference. Remember, food is fuel. If you are running on empty too early, you may not make it happily through the night. It is best to have a few light options to choose from. This way, you aren’t feeling heavy or too full and nervous all at the same time.
Delegate
If you know that food will be the furthest thing from your mind, but you understand that you need nourishment, delegate the task. Put someone else in charge of being sure you eat something. Every emotion will hit you on your wedding day, even if it is only for a moment. Going through a ton of thoughts, emotions, and decisions can take a lot out of you. You need to be sure you get the opportunity to restore what is being used. Remember, you still have to hit the dance floor.
We really do hope this information has enlightened you and given you perspective to ensure you take steps to take care of yourself on wedding day.
Until next time…
be sweet & happy planning!
