Whether you are a hopeless romantic, a music head, or you listen casually as you go about your day, music is a part of your life. Music helps you tell a story, especially at the times when you can’t quite find the words. Music helps you convey an emotion, and with the right song, you can create memories that won’t be easy to forget. This should make it effortless when you begin to choose the perfect first dance song. When selecting what you plan to use as your first dance song, you want to consider how the song makes you feel. You are essentially choosing the song that speaks specifically to your statement of love as a couple. Consider your thoughts towards one another and what your love story signifies.
Based on the lyrics
Another thing to consider are the lyrics of the song you choose to use for your first dance. There are some songs that work so perfectly with your heartstrings, but usually there are one or two hitches. Sometimes the song can have one lyric that has nothing to do with your love story. Sometimes the chorus is perfect but the rest of the songs just isn’t it. You do have options if the song truly speaks to your hearts. You can have the DJ only play the parts you love. You also don’t have to dance to the entire song. If you love the beginning of the song leading up to the chorus or the middle and end of the song, you can dance to only those parts.
Be true to you
Be sure you are being true to your style as a couple. If you aren’t the slow dance type and you love a good bop, do you! Don’t get us wrong, we are hopeless romantics, and we live for a good love song. But you shouldn’t feel like you have to complete a task to get to the fun stuff. The entire day should be fun, but especially the reception. Plus, at this point in the wedding day, you are already married. Nothing you do from this moment on will cause the mission of the day to be incomplete. Besides, it’s a party at this point.
