An Elegant Affair @ Mallard’s Croft
A styled shoot is something that a wedding vendor does for a number of reasons. It could be to showcase a theme, a trend, or a design they want to do. It can be to get published. It could be to work with vendors they may want to work with or that they like working with creatively.
Well, we did a styled shoot and our reason was for all of the above. A styled shoot is like a staging. You have all of the key elements you would have at a real wedding, but bite sized.
Why would we want to do a styled shoot? Glad you asked. We had been sitting on loads of creativity due to the shutdown of 2020 because of the cancellation of life outside (…a bit dramatic, but so was 2020!). We seriously had no other goals in mind other than this color scheme we couldn’t shake, a hand full of the vendors we had missed so much during the year of 2020, and the idea of being in Southern Bride Magazine. It was that simple.

Imagine being all set to receive orders from every angle during the month of February, only to have everything (seriously, everything…no exaggeration) delivered the day before your scheduled shoot. OMG!!! We were team no sleep.
But when we look back at what we were able to produce within a 24-hour time frame, we were impressed. Things were literally out of our control (snow and the airport shutting down), and we were still able to produce something so beautiful.
What was even better was the village of vendors we got to hug, laugh, and joke with all day long.
