The story of Keneshia & Ricky
(also featured on Munaluchi Bridal)

We are always enlightened by the stories of how our couples meet and how their love story blossomed to the point of engagement. This story did not disappoint, as these two cuties are high school sweethearts. We thought it would be great for them to share their love story with Munaluchi Bride and also wanted to be sure we shared it here as well with you.
Take a look below at their interview below:

How did you meet?
Ricky and I met at a middle school basketball game in 2008 of rivalry schools. Ricky was a basketball player for the opposing team; while I was a cheerleader for the home team. We exchanged social media information but never connected due to distance. In 2009, we reconnected when we attended the same high school. At that time we were both busy with cheer and basketball and decided it was best to be friends. Our parents took turns taking us to practices and games and we became best friends. Our friendship faded when we traveled to different colleges and lost touch. I moved back to Memphis my junior year of college and Ricky got wind that I was back in town, LOL. He invited me to his housewarming party and lunch the next day. At that moment we started making lunch and movie dates a weekly outing until June 15, 2016 when Ricky asked me to be his girlfriend.
Tell us your proposal story
Keneshia always told me she wanted her family and friends to be present whenever I decided to propose to her. She also made it clear that she did not want me to pop the big question on a holiday, as she wanted her own special day! So this made it quite challenging for me to create a moment where her friends and family were present ! I planned a dinner date April 11, 2021 at one of our favorite restaurant’s, Coastal Fish Company. I informed our family and friends, got customized “Will You Marry Me” balloons and a photographer. By sunset I informed everyone to be outside by the restaurant’s lake to capture our special moment. Keneshia was completely shocked once she saw me get on one knee and all of her loved ones came out with custom signs and balloons. The reaction and look of pure happiness on her face when I asked her to be my wife made every moment of planning this day worth while!
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day
Ricky- Seeing Keneshia walk down the aisle for the first time and of course our reception entrance
Keneshia- Seeing Ricky “ugly cry” as I walk down the aisle! Dancing and enjoying the moment with everyone that loves and supports our union

We cannot wait to celebrate these two. Their wedding is going to be beautiful and so much fun. We also have a feeling that there will be plenty of dancing involved.
