Deciding on a DJ for your wedding day is a pretty big deal. This most often is the voice of the person your guests will hear throughout the entire reception and the vibe a DJ brings can have a lasting effect on your overall wedding day. We sat down to talk with our good friend Anson about his love for weddings and entertaining people, and how he has become one of the most sought after DJs in the mid-south. In case for some very odd reason you have no idea who we are talking about, here is a little bit of an introduction.
Anson Bryant is co-owner of Paradise Productions, which is a family business with over 20 years of experience. He owns the company with his brother Mario, who sees to production out of Dallas, TX. They are also known for special effects, such as dancing on a cloud, sparklers, lighting, and their pristine DJ booth designs.
Anson enjoys the consultation process more than most in his area of focus and takes the time to get to know his clients in very creative ways. Conversation and exploration about their likes and dislikes gives him a chance to peek into their personal playlists as a couple and individually, which would then lend to how he is able to provide the vibe and feel specific to who they are and ultimately deliver services they will always remember.
When we asked what information clients need to know before you can secure a DJ, he states for him, you need:
A Date, Start Time, & Venue
These are details needed to begin the process of not only knowing availability, but also creating a contract.
Ceremony outside? Reception inside?
Whether or not there will be a need for more than one setup is an essential detail. . It wouldn’t be as easy to break everything down from your outside ceremony, move it inside, and then set it back up while being sure everything is connected properly within a shortened amount of time, as their typical setup can take anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours.
How many microphones
This is one of the most critical elements of the ceremony. Your guests will want to be able to follow along with you as you commit to this lifelong journey. If you start to cry during your vows, they won’t be able to be swept up in the emotion with you, because they may not be aware of what was said. (Unless they are like me. I cry when I see others cry.) The point is if they can’t hear you, they can’t follow along with you.
If you have been following along with us for any length of time, then you have definitely heard us talk about the amount of detail that goes into every area of a wedding. Why would it be any different when it comes to your DJ. To follow Anson, and to retain his services for your day, follow the links below:
