There are so many areas to pay close attention to when it comes to wedding planning. You have the location, décor, attire, and that’s just the tip of it all. However, there are some areas that can cause a disaster if neglected. There are so many areas to pay close attention to when it comes to wedding planning.

Here are 4 areas that you want to be sure you keep intact during your planning process:
good music
If you are anything like us, then music can save the day. Anytime you can get people to sing and dance, it’s a good time. Now, we don’t want it to have to come down to your DJ or band saving your wedding, but they are going to have to be a huge part of your being sure you have planned a rockstar category event. Music speaks to the soul, and has the capability of putting a smile on the sourest of faces. Good music is at the top of the list for what your wedding will need to be great!

good food
Have you ever attended an event and left thinking that your first stop is a drive thru? Do you want your wedding to be that event for someone else? If you answered no, then you are going to have to be sure you put your work in and get a trusted catering company you can leave in charge of the tummies of your guests. Being sure your guests are served some good food, should also be at the very top of your list. Rock stars hang out together. So, if you have already started the process of working with the best vendors in other areas, ask them who they recommend for catering, do a tasting, and let them work their magic.
comfort
No one is going to spend three plus hours at any place they aren’t comfortable. Picture yourself in some of your nicest garments, sweating and in dress shoes doing what they do best…choking the life out of your feet. You want to be comfortable wherever you go. Be sure to extend that same courtesy to your wedding guests. When you go on venue tours, go not only as the person who will be celebrated but as the guests as well. It makes a difference when you can see things from all angles.

organization
This post wouldn’t be ours if we didn’t talk to you about the importance of organization. It is something that is very near and dear to our hearts because THIS IS WHAT WE DO! Being at an event with dozens of people standing around not knowing if they should go left or right can be frustrating. We can tell you firsthand that when it appears chaotic, people leave. We ourselves are a little guilty leaving before the end of an event where we were guests (we couldn’t help it). One thing you do not want is empty seats at an event you have already paid for. If you plan your own wedding, be sure you hire a coordinator for event management. This will save you both headache and heartache. Trust us. We know what we are talking about.
We have shared some really good nuggets here with you. If you take the time to think back to any event you have attended that was missing any one of the areas we mentioned above, then you will know that we are spot on. To keep your wedding from being added to someone else’s list, or even your own, do the work to be sure these areas are taken great care of, for yourself and your wedding guests. And, if it is just too much of a hassle for you, hire a wedding planner.
Until next time…
be sweet & happy planning!
