If you have gotten married during the year of 2022, then CONGRATULATIONS to you!!! This will be your first new year celebration together as a happily married couple. We want you to be successful with your first new year celebration, so we have a few suggestions for you. We feel that if you start ahead of time with the conversation, being sure you both want the same thing, you can count this as a first of great new year’s celebrations for years to come.

Here we go! You can plan to celebrate…
With all of the action
Depending on where you are located, the options for action can be the only bar in town or a celebration in every major area of your city. Basing the decision on the vibe in which you both are shooting for helps. If being out in an environment full of others who are letting it out hang out as you sweep out the old and welcome in the new is what you want, start earlier with placing the options out there. This option can be fun and exhilarating, as long as you are both on the same page.
With close family and friends
Planning a party with close family and friends, or even deciding to attend an event hosted by someone you know to ring in the new year can be a great idea for a new marriage. With an intimate group of people, you get to focus more on one another, as well as those things that mean so much, such as relationships and a healthy entourage of support.
With just the two of you
In our book, nothing beats an intimate dinner for two…nothing! There are so many options when it comes to holidays and celebrations, and there will be many, many years for you to join in on all of those moments with people you love and care about. But there is only one first, and we believe your first of everything should be special. Your friends and family should understand if you wish to ring in the new year in the privacy of your own home, with just the love of your life as your primary focus. We get it! After all, we are hopeless romantics forever in search of moments that continually tug at the heart strings.

Bonus: Do all three
Who says you can’t go and hang out for a little while at the spot the two of you have deemed hottest to bring in the new year, then swing by to visit the event put on by your sweet family and friends, only to make it back to a nice “audience of two, once in a lifetime” event? If you and your new spouse are up for the adventure, by all means, have at it. A word of advice for you. Be sure you have decided ahead of time on your departure times for each stop and present a united front if opposed. We want you ringing in the new year in happiness.
There you have, 3 suggestions plus a bonus on fun ways to ring in the new year with your new spouse. We are sure you will choose an option that will best fit your style and needs as a couple. We just want you to be sure you are careful and that you have a great time. Happy New Year!
Until next time…
be sweet & happy planning!
