Congratulations to all of you sweet, newly engaged brides!!! We are so excited for you and want to give you a little advice. We are sharing with you on today’s blog post a list of 10 FAQs to assist with your wedding planning journey.

When should I start planning my wedding?
We always lean into the idea of you having what you want for your wedding. The best way to get those things is to invest both time and money. With that idea in mind, we often suggest you start your planning process at least 12–18 months before the wedding day. This also allows you the opportunity to be sure you secure high in-demand venues and wedding professionals.
How do I create a realistic wedding budget?
Determine your total spending limit and break it down by priority. Though you may not know specifically how much each vendor will cost for their services, you do know the level of importance each category of service is to you. This helps your wedding planner tremendously to seek professionals that best fit your desires and your financial comfort zone.
What factors should I consider when choosing a wedding date?
When it comes to choosing a wedding date, there are several things to consider. We highly suggest you think about what is closest to your hearts, as this is a date that will be with you “until death do us part.” Consider the season, availability of ideal venues, personally meaningful dates, guest availability due to possible travel, and your desired investment for the wedding.
How do I find the perfect wedding venue?
Your venue selection is really going to depend on your vision for your wedding day, your guest count, and your preference for aesthetics. You for sure want to visit locations in person, as you don’t want to be surprised by the accommodations and the appeal presented by the online presence only.
How can I personalize my wedding ceremony?
There are so many ways you can personalize your wedding ceremony. You can write your own vows, include meaningful readings, and involve family and friends, as well as cultural traditions.
What factors should I consider when choosing a wedding dress?
We believe, without a doubt or objection, that the bride and groom are the focal points of the entire day. Because of this, we suggest that if you have a specific style or theme in mind for your entire wedding day, that you start your shopping process with that. You also want to consider your body shape, level of comfort, and investment. Start shopping at least 8–12 months in advance, and be open to the many possibilities.
What are the best practices for creating a seating chart?
You want to group guests by relationships, and ensure VIPs, such as closest family and friends, have prime spots. This is not the time to attempt to make people conversate. People will aways remember the way you made them feel. If possible, try your best to keep that in mind.
How can I handle unexpected challenges or changes in the wedding planning process?
Trust and rely heavily on your hired professional wedding planner to help with managing your planning process. We spend time building trust and properly planning for everything part of your wedding day in advance. During this time, communication is key. This way when things happen, both planned and unplanned, you can trust that your hired planner will know exactly what to do.
How do I handle last-minute changes or emergencies on the wedding day?
The best answer for this question is to work with a professional wedding planner. A professional planner will have backup plans in place for weather and unforeseen occurrences, as well as the experience to handle the most unusual of wedding day obstacles.
What are the etiquette guidelines for sending out thank-you cards?
We often suggest that if you don’t start the process of handwriting your thank you notes to your guests at least 2 weeks after the wedding, that you do not exceed three months post wedding to send them out.
We do hope you have shared answers that give you some sort of comfort during your wedding planning journey.
Until next time…
be sweet & happy planning!
